Installation of TeraData 13.0
1) Prerequisites
Operating System Support
Microsoft Windows XP with SP3
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with SP2
Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows Server 2008
Microsoft Windows 7
Other software required
MS Dotnet Framework 2.0 or later
Hardware Specification
Disk Space: 2.5GB to 12GB
Memory: 1GB
2). Downloaded setup files

3). Extract the Teradata setup files and run the software
3.1). Put the setup into a folder and extract it.
3.2) Click on setup and run. Wait for next window.
4). Software screen
4.1) After run the setup you will find screen. Click on “Next- Main Menu”.
5). Enter into Menu
Click “Installs Teradata 13.0 and Tools”. From Main Menu.
6). It checks automatically for your prerequisites,
This installation is done on below platform. If any warning note is given in this step than please check your system configuration. Otherwise click on next.
7). Install all components one by one
**Note: Do not restart computer every time. After complete installation of all components only once you should restart computer.
7.1) First of all Install Teardata BYNET Driver.
Click on
(A) Teardata BYNET Driver
(B) waiting for installation
(C) Click on No button.
7.2) Install Teradata Database
Teradata Database-> Next button-> select databse size(accortiong to your use) -> select destination folder (where you want to store database) -> Finish
Teradata Database 13.00.00.12 only for non production purpose.
Teradata express tool, MS c++ compiler and jre ( only for java External stored procedures) is needed for install
Compiler and jre available in additional software.
In next screen you will be get warning message about copyright law click on next.
Choose memory space according to your use. Only for practice we can take 512MB .
Select destination folder where you will store your Teradata database. Default drive will be c:\ drive. You can change your position..
7.3) Install Teradata Express Tools
Teradata Express tools -> Typical and Next button -> select all and next -> Finish
Here you will find two choices
Typical- here we choose typical option than next.
Custom
Select all functionalty of software and go to next click.

7.4.) Teradata tools and utilities
Also install Teradata Tools and utilities.
7.5.) TeraData Ware House Miner
There is no need to install TD WareHouse Miner
7.6.) Additional Softwares
It is not mandatory to install Additional Softwares.
8).Finish Installation
Click on the highlighted button and wait for restart the computer
Click on yes and ok
9). Post install
After restart your computer you will find the new icons on your desktop.

10). Varifying software installation
There are two ways to start
A.)Click on Teradata service Control icon present on desktop. Clik on start teradata button present on window. Arrow is showing where to clik and second red box showing current status of service control.
After start window will show you current running status. For stop click on same place “stop teradata”.
B.) Go to startà All programs -> Teradata DataBase Express 13.0 -> Teradata service control -> click and wait for window
